    Hi,

    After updating FoodHunt free from 1.0.7 to 1.0.8, there is something wrong.

    1. By clicking mobile menu icon, the menu is opened but closed immediately.

    2. By clicking mobile search icon, the page is blurred but doesn’t show search box.

    Any suggestion?

    Regards,
    Alex

    Hi Ashish,

    Thanks for your reply. My site’s URL is https://www.uncletobybakery.com

    1. I created a child theme based on FoodHunt Free, but now I disabled this child theme and activated parent FoodHunt free theme.

    2. I disabled cache plugin for debugging.

    As the above, I think my site is clean enough but same situation (version 1.0.8).

    If you could help me to figure the issue out, I am so much appreciated.

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hi Ashish,

    Additional information.

    I don’t have any iOS or macOS device, so I only test my site in the following environment.

    1. Windows 10, Chrome 65, tested my site for mobile simulator.
    2. Nexus 6P and Pixel XL, Chrome 65.

    Regards,

    Alex

    For now, you can fix this from the child theme by adding following code inside child theme’s functions.php.

    function foodhunt_child_enqueue_styles() {
    	wp_enqueue_script( 'foodhunt-child-custom', get_template_directory_uri() . '/js/foodhunt-custom.js' );
    }
    add_action( 'wp_enqueue_scripts', 'foodhunt_child_enqueue_styles' );

    function child_dequeue() {
    	wp_dequeue_script( 'foodhunt-custom' );
    }
    add_action( 'wp_print_scripts', 'child_dequeue', 100, 1 );

    Also, as I mentioned earlier we’ll fix this in next update of the theme.

    Thanks for your kindly reply, it is so helpful.

    I love this theme so much and this is why I fully localized it to Traditional Chinese (Taiwan).

    Help new update will arrive soon.

    Have nice weekend.

    If so, since the issue is with our minified js file, loading unminified file will solve the issue, for which you can enable script debug in your wp-config.php file of your WordPress installation.

    You can learn more about it in here:

    Hi Ashish,

    I did the followings but mobile menu became more strange.

    1. I disabled script debug in wp-config.php .
    2. Updated from 1.08 to 1.0.9.
    3. Clear Chrome cache.
    4. Two things happened.
    4.1. In mobile simulator from desktop Chrome, the mobile menu is opened and closed triple then shows what I want.
    4.2. In mobile Chrome, the mobile menu is the same situation as 1.0.8.

    After I enable script debug and clear browser cache again, the strange situation is resolved.

    Hi Alex,
    So your site is fine now. Isn’t it? While I checked, it’s working as expected. If so, it should work without script debug enabled. Because you need to avoid enabling script debug if possible.

    Hi Ashish,

    If I disabled script debug, the mobile menu doesn’t work well even I updated to 1.0.9.

    Now I disable script debug, if you have some time, please help to figure the problem out, thanks.

    Regards,

    Alex Lion

    Okay. Our theme again seems to have an issue. We’ll check and update theme again. For now, you can keep Script debug on. Thanks again for letting us know about this.
