    When I activate the spacious child theme, the header logo is not displayed. Reverting to spacious theme, everything is normal.

    Hi!

    I got exactly the same problem. I followed your instruction and i’m still missing the logo image if the child theme is activated.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks 🙂

    Many thanks for your response.

    I have removed and re-added the logo several times, re-uploaded it, changed the image… Nothing works.

    If i inspect the source code, this part is missing after i activated the childtheme. The child theme is
    he theme includes only one style.css and one functions.php. It does not make sense to me why the part in the header.php is missing.

    < d i v id=”header-logo-image”>
    < a-tag href=”http://www.cwaa.ie/” rel=”home”>
    < i m g width=”100″ height=”100″ src=”http://www.cwaa.ie/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/cwaa-site-logo.jpg” class=”custom-logo” alt=”CWAA” itemprop=”logo”>
    < / a-tag >
    < / d i v >

    “I m g”, “d i v” is deliberately written so, otherwise I would embed a picture here.

    Kind regards

    Hi,

    I have exactly the same problem (logo disappearing). I have edited the main theme to have a widget area between the logo and the standard upper-right widget area, but when I activate a child theme the logo disappears.

    The site is bilingual, the main start page in Swedish is missing the logo:

    Start page

    But the English start page for some reason has the logo:

    English start page

    Note: It all works fine in the main theme, but I of course don’t want to have to use the main theme and disable updates.

    Any support would be highly appreciated!

    Thanks
    Magnus

    @hedenberg
    The issue may be due to the code changes you’ve made in theme or the plugin you’re using for multilanguage. Can you review your code or contact the plugin author.
    Thanks.

    @ashishsthanp Thanks for the tip, but I need that plugin and it actually works in the main theme. It’s just when I switch to the child theme that the logo disappears. I’ll test this on another site soon, which doesn’t need the multilanguage plugin. But maybe you would consider that there’s a but in the main theme, since so many others have problems with the logo? It’s a really nice theme besides that! 🙂

    (I have found a workaround; I simply added the logo in an img tag as part of the new widget area in the middle of header area. But it would of course be nice if it could work as it’s supposed to)

    @hedenberg

    Since the logo is not appearing on child theme only, it seems the problem is with your child theme code. Thanks.

    @ashishsthanp That could of course very well be the case, but the thing is, that it’s the same even if I create a totally blank child theme. I’ll however try to create a child theme on a different site that I’ll switch to Spacious theme on, I’ll let you know the outcome.

    Hi again,

    There actually seems to be something wrong with the Spacious theme and logos. I can’t explain it any other way. Please see the following pictures (in Swedish, but I’m sure you understand the content! 🙂 )

    http://utkast.se/kinos/spacious.png
    The installation I was referring to in this post. As you can see, two logos appear; Both from the logo and widget areas.

    http://utkast.se/kinos/spacious-child.png
    The child installation I was referring to in this post. Logo not shown in logo area, only in the widget area.

    http://utkast.se/kinos/spacious-new.png
    Another site, where I just made a completely fresh installation of Spacious. Doesn’t show the logo even in the main theme!

    http://utkast.se/kinos/flash-theme.png
    The same new site, but using the Flash theme. Works fine.

    I would really appreciate if you could look into this, I really love the Spacious theme but I don’t want to have to do my own coding to get basic stuff to work (such as logo).

    Thanks! 🙂

    Can you try uploading the logo again from customizer? Thanks.

    @ashishsthanp Yes I just tried that, but same result. The logo doesn’t show up at all.

    @hedenberg
    Sorry for not mentioning before. Have you set option for showing logo from Appearance-> Customize-> Header > Show as instruction in https://docs.themegrill.com/spacious/#section-7 ?

    Thanks.
