    Hi,

    when using “FT: Slider” widget and referring from the slide-link-button to an anchor on the same site (like on https://demo.themegrill.com/flash-one-page/) there is not a soft scroll, but a normal hard jump to the referred section. When using the same anchor in menu the side scrolls down softly.

    Which class has to be added to the slider-button to get this solved?

    Thank you!

    Any news on this? Soft scroll only works from links in the site navigation. When I add links to anchor points that is not in the site navigation it will just jump straight to the anchor instead of smooth scroll. Is there a css class or something that I can add to the row with the link to get it to work?

    Hi Jgrovan,

    Sorry, to say that the smooth scroll fix has been applied only for pro version and will be releasing on our next update. And it requires code customization work in js file for those changes.

    So, if you really want this feature and interested then you can upgrade it to our pro version.

    Thanks!

    Hi Jgrovan,

    I am a little bit surprised that themegrill will only supply the fix in pro version, as I brought this issue to them. But it doesn’t matter, because you can get it working by yourself. Just add this to you own js-code:

    jQuery(window).load(function () {
       var top_offset = jQuery('#ID-OF-CONTAINER-ELEMENT-OF-YOUR-LINK-OR-AROUND').height() - 1;
       jQuery('#ID-OF-CONTAINER-ELEMENT-OF-YOUR-LINK').onePageNav({
          changeHash: false,
          scrollSpeed: 1000,
          scrollOffset: top_offset,
          scrollThreshold: 0.5,
          filter: '',
          easing: 'swing',
       });
    });

    That’s it.

    Thank you for your reply, post25.

    I added your code using the “Custom CSS and JavaScript” plugin, but did not get it to work. I replaced the #ID-OF-CONTAINER-ELEMENT-OF-YOUR-LINK with the ID at the section I want to jump to. Clicking a link with this ID still does a hard jump. What could I be doing wrong?

    Thanks!

    What does the browser console say? Any errors?

    To test if your code is loaded please add this line
    alert('x');
    after this:
    jQuery(window).load(function () {

    Now you should get an javascript-alert when opening the site. If not “Custom CSS and JavaScript” does not work or you did something wrong.

    I figured it out, but something isn’t quite right. I wrote the wrong container name. When I added the correct container name, I can only press the button once. It will scroll smoothly down to the anchor point, it will not highlight that I am at that section in the sticky menu. If I scroll up again, none of the buttons are working anymore until i reload the page.

    Yes, it’s the same here. But this seems to be an issue with the theme and included js. I am not sure.
