    Hello,

    Could you advise how I could make the smaller widget images a more friendly ratio of 1080/monitor type resolution, when using the recommended 800×445 or any similar the side edges are a little cut off more than I would of hoped.

    Face being cut on the right hand side:
    TwitchVODs example.

    “REVIEW” being seen as “EVIEW”:
    Movie Reviews example.

    My site address is https://ourgamers.co.uk/, I’ve made a few alterations regarding hiding post authors and comment count listed below but don’t believe these are a contributing factor:

    .widget_featured_slider .slide-content, .widget_highlighted_posts .article-content {
      background: linear-gradient(to bottom, rgba(0, 0, 0, 0) , rgba(0, 0, 0, 3));
    }

    /* Single Post */
    .author-box {
      display: none;
    }
    .related-posts .comments {
        display: none;
    }

    /* Home Page */
    .widget_featured_posts .above-entry-meta {
        display: none;
    }
    .widget_featured_meta  .byline {
        display: none;
    }
    .widget_featured_meta  .comments {
        display: none;
    }

    /* Category View */
    .type-post  .byline {
        display: none;
    }.type-post  .comments {
        display: none;
    }

    I also have a second quick question that doesn’t need its own post, the slider takes a little while to load images in and has them all displayed underneath while the page loads, the slider in the pro version seems to have arrows, is the pro version better and solves this issue with the images loading in under the slider briefly..? I only ask as I’m likely to purchase the pro version after pay day for the extra widgets etc.

    Thank you very much for any response.

    Andy 🙂

    Hello @andybaines,

    When we checked your website the image which you have been using is improper(originally half cut) as you can see the link below:
    https://ourgamers.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/2017-01-09-Assassins-Creed-130×90.jpg
    https://ourgamers.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/2017-02-12-Sing-130×90.jpg

    So, please once check the image properly and upload the full width images.
    And for your second query “the slider post displaying underneath while loading page”, it is only in the free version but if you upgrade to our pro-version the mentioned issue will not appear. And also the slider button is only available in pro version.

    That’s very weird, I’m only uploading the full width featured image larger than that, not any smaller for that thumbnail version near that resolution, is the theme or a plugin creating that image, would you know how I can investigate those images sources..?

    Thank you for the reply and the slider confirmation.

    In media settings the thumbnail generation size is 150×150, the medium size is 300×300 and large is 1024×1024, are these correct for the theme or do not affect the situation or source of the cut images..?

    Hello @andybaines,

    Apologies, for the previous information as we found that in your case the image was automatically resized by the theme which is displaying the half cut images. So, for the solution of this please try once using this plugin “Post Thumbnail Editor“. Hope this will work for you.

    Regards! 🙂
