You say on your site “Theme is tested with all major browsers. The site looks smooth & nice irrespective of the browser that you view your site on.”
But in Internet Explorer and Edge (and I think also in Safari), the parallax effect, which is one of the great features of the Radiate theme, does not work properly.
Even on your own demo site https://demo.themegrill.com/demos/?theme=Radiate you can check that scrolling (especially when using mouse wheel or keyboard) does not scroll smoothly at all, but jumps.
In my own adaption in wordpress it’s even more terrible in those browsers – unfortunately, many people use them.
So how can I get the same smooth scrolling as I experience in Chrome or Firefox?July 20, 2017 at 5:39 am #1316827
In addition to the “In my own adaption in wordpress” above, just add a background image to your demo page and scrolling becomes really crappy in IE and Edge.
It seems that the reason is the static background and scrolling over it – can you provide CSS or JS to put somewhere in your theme which fixes it or at least change scrolling behaviour for those browsers (as it happens for example on my android device, here the background scrolls automatically instead of staying fixed)?July 20, 2017 at 6:00 am #1316832
Since we are not using any parallax plugin and relying solely on CSS using
The problem you mentioned is known issue with IE and Edge. Microsoft has tried fixing it in Edge but still, it is crappy.
Also, It is disabled on mobile devices. If you have a look on IOS devices the problem also persists there.
You can resolve it by using any parallax plugin for WordPress.
We are also considering to fix it in our next update. What do you think about it?

thanks for the info.
I tried https://de.wordpress.org/plugins/cb-parallax/ but wasn’t lucky, the background disappeared completely.
For the moment I go with a special CSS block for IE and Edge and set the background-attachment differently.
It still gives me unmooths scrolling, but at least no jumping of images.
But I’d highly appreciate, if you could schedule it for your next update.
