I’ve been using Himalayas as a base template for a singe page site, and made the menu navigation’s background transparent.
As the menu had some height with background, the scroll is set up considering this. Therefore, the scroll goes to the #section target, but then goes up a few pixels to align menu with content.
Then, my menu navigation is not scrolling to the beginning of the #target, but 32px less that it should, showing the desired section and a piece of another.
I guess the issue is in jquery.nav.js, wich I’ve tried editing, but with no success.
What can I do to edit that scroll?
You can see the site working here: http://masverde.cl/santiagochiong/January 2, 2019 at 11:42 am #1400331
It will require lots of code customization work which cannot get covered up via any support platform. Hope you can understand.
Thanks.January 3, 2019 at 5:31 am #1400363
Thanks for your reply. I understand, it’s a free template. I cannot expect advanced support.
Anyways, maybe we can figure it out another solution. What if I use my own anchor link scroller?
To do so, may I ask… it’s enough to delete the jquerynav.js and the one page navigation from himalayas.js?January 3, 2019 at 5:32 am #1400454
If you can code on your own then, you can do so via the child theme as you need for your site. Thanks.January 11, 2019 at 4:47 am #1401483
I figured out what happened. It was working correctly. The issue was that I hid the wordpress top bar, therefore, as I was logged in, the scroll to targets goes to the target and adjust to the size of top bar.
Thanks anyways!January 11, 2019 at 4:48 am #1401555
