    I want the site to be wider and so I added this to CSS

    .inner-wrap {
    	max-width: 1280px
    	}

    This works except that at certain brewer widths (between 1190px and 1280px) there is no left or right margin, ie text buts up against the edge of browser.

    Above and below those widths it is fine. Above the page width is 1280 and below it responds but with a margin.

    I have fixed that issue by adding this

    .main-wrapper

    {margin:0px 30px;
    }

    @media screen and (max-width: 1190px) {.main-wrapper

    {margin:0px
    }}

    And it now seems to work, my question:

    Am I doing this correctly, or the best way?

    Thanks

    Hi,

    You might find the white gap in the wide section with the background image if you set margin for .main-wrapper. You can try the following custom CSS code.

    @media screen and (max-width: 1280px) {

    	.inner-wrap {
        		width: 94%;
    	}

    	.business-template .widget.widget_call_to_action_block > .inner-wrap, .business-template .widget.widget_portfolio_block > .inner-wrap {
      		width: 100%
    	}
    }

    Hope this will be helpful to you.
