I have template Esteem and I need a help.
I need to translate the button “read more” from widget TG Services for my language em portuguese like “Leia mais”.
how should i do for that?
ThanksAugust 10, 2015 at 4:48 am #1190668
The theme is translation ready. So you can translate any string in the theme. Use the software like Po-edit and translate it in your language ie, make your language file.
Thank you.December 28, 2015 at 11:20 pm #1223151
Hi I have the same problem. I have edited the po files but it does not translate. I tried to follow different steps, installing the plugin Loco translate, but all does not change a thing. My ‘read more’ text does not change into the dutch ‘Lees verder…”
Can you please help me out? Thank you.December 29, 2015 at 5:05 am #1223188
While creating the language file, have you changed your site language to the translated language and checked? Thanks.December 29, 2015 at 11:11 am #1223228
in Loco translate the file nl_NL.po is there, website language in Settings is also Dutch. I removed WPLANG from wp-config as the plugin said so.
I removed now all files and started again with the Loco Translate.
If I look in the settings under Esteem Child (which is active) there is the file nl_NL.po.
Under Esteem there is esteem.pot
It’s still not translating.

You can put your language file in the same folder where there is esteem.pot file. It is necessary to have .mo file, it is what actually is needed.
When ever you change the .po file you need to update the .mo file.
You can send the language file to us and we will put that file in next version update. So, it won’t be lost in version updated (in case of parent theme). Also, it will help other user too.
Thank you.December 30, 2015 at 10:59 am #1223505
Hello Bipin, thank you for your quick reply. In the language folder is esteem.pot and the nl_NL.mo en po files. So it is now in the original Esteem file and in the esteem-child.
but it still does not work…. Read more is still not in my language 🙁December 31, 2015 at 6:21 am #1223681
We have checked it from our side and it is working properly. So, can you check on it by using this plugin only? Thanks.February 7, 2016 at 8:37 pm #1230139
Hi Bishal..I’m still lost… sorry! I cannot seem to find the issue! Can you please lend a helping hand?February 9, 2016 at 6:53 am #1230410
If you have changed all the string of the theme then it should translate. Did you also include the .mo file, because it is what required for the for translation.
Also, can you send us the language file so that we could include it in our next version update, which will be helpful for other users wanting same translation.

Hi, I already translate esteem into my language (es_PE.mo, es_PE.po) so I want to know how I’d send the files to you in order include them in your next version update.
Thanks! 🙂February 23, 2016 at 5:39 am #1232901April 10, 2016 at 12:36 pm #1241140
