I would like to make an edit to the copyright footer. Does anyone know how I can do that?July 4, 2014 at 8:04 pm #6640
here is my website (http://archiveweb.in/) , cud you make a comparison and suggest what exact change you wud like to make.
What is your website url?July 4, 2014 at 11:40 pm #6644
In your footer (footer socket?), you have “Copyright © 2014 ArchiveWeb Designed by: ArchiveWebSoftware”.
I can’t seem to find how to add in the “Designed by …..” text after the copyright text. Do I need to edit the style sheet?
As for my site, it is still under construction and the url redirects.July 5, 2014 at 8:20 am #6653
You need to make changes to Theme Functions (inc/functions.php) file but before making any editing, please take the backup of original file.July 5, 2014 at 3:56 pm #6709
@rgillies04 The option to edit the footer credit info is available in the pro version. The pro version has this option to change the footer credit info in the theme options without touching the code. So, you can purchase the pro version if you like. Thanks.July 6, 2014 at 4:20 am #6741

I was able to delete everything inside the last two sets of parenthesis () to give me a clean copyright footer. I did this in the inc/functions.php using the editor in WP.May 13, 2015 at 8:28 pm #937158

the easiest way is to upload the original theme file again using FTP.

How can I add other page links to the footer, just next to the copyright area?
For instance, a page I created is Terms of Service and it’s page ID is 65.
Is there a shortcode I can add?
Thanks.September 9, 2016 at 5:09 am #1265285
You can create a new menu, add desired pages and assign its location to Footer Menu. It will display the menu in the footer next to copyright area.

I was wanting to edit the Copyright Footer in the Explore Theme and would prefer to do that without changing the code. I arrived at this thread via a Google search so I don’t know if this thread relates to ‘Explore’ theme specifically or not.
In a reply by Sanjip in July 2014, it says that this can be edited in the Pro version without touching the code.
I tried looking for the Pro version of Explore but can only find info about the Free version. Is there a pro version of Explore?
If not, what is the best way to edit the Copyright Footer in the free version.
