    Hi, @czarinayd
    You can add following code inside Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS :

    #colophon {
        background: #8e4d54;
    }

    If you get any issue later, feel free to ask again! I hope you liked our theme, if so, you can help us by providing a review us here: https://wordpress.org/support/theme/cenote/reviews/?filter=5

    Thank you. Is it also possible to have the author credited in excerpts of posts in a posts homepage? Please see here: https://the-rambling.com/

    Hi, czarinayd

    That will be soon available. We will soon release an update to provide more functionality over meta tags

    Thanks. I have a new question.

    What can I do to middle align my menu? The social icons and search icon do not line up with the rest of the menu. See here: https://the-rambling.com/

    @czarinayd

    Please add this code:

    .tg-site-header .tg-header-bottom .main-navigation {
        margin-top: 10px;
    }

    Hi thank you. This css was able to center the primary menu, but the social icons and search icon is still misaligned. Is there something I can add to middle align this last section with the rest of my menu?

    Hi, Czarinyd

    For the better alignment of the primary menu. I recommend you to remove the extra css given earlier.

    Please remove:

    .tg-site-header .tg-header-bottom .main-navigation {
        margin-top: 10px;
    }

    and :

    .tg-social-menu-navigation {
        margin-bottom: 30px;
    }

    And add this

    .tg-site-header .tg-header-bottom .tg-container {
        align-items: center;
    }

    .tg-site-header.tg-site-header--left .tg-header-bottom .site-branding .custom-logo-link {
       margin-bottom: 0;
    }

    Also, we will update this to center align on the next update. After that you may remove the additional CSS
