    Starting site build with fitclub free, do intend to go pro if it works out okay. Having issue using woocommerce plugin, as shop page seems to ‘display incorrectly’ for no reason. it seems to push out to full width and everything right to edge of page. No matter what page setting template I select for the shop page. Also the pages, archive and categories widgets are below shop product content, which is unwanted.
    The cart page seems to display okay, but cannot find reason for shop page problems. Any idea, can send screen shot if it would help…? Thanks in advance…

    Hello, @paul28

    Can you provide us URL of your website so that we can inspect it or send us screenshot and give you a proper solution?

    Thanks for coming back to me, the URL is http://www.barakapersonaltraining.co.uk/shop/

    Build in progress but you can see form this there is an obvious display issue with the shop page…? Seems to be showing all sorts almost as archive. Have I missed an obvious setting or is this a theme/woocommerce issue?

    Thanks in advance

    Definitely something glitching with theme vs woocommerce as anywhere Woo C used such as Woo C widget on lower part of home page, the products display is completely out. Any insight as to why? I think you say the theme is Woo C compatible…? Appreciate any help you can offer

    The widget design in homepage came from WooCommerce design.

    You can add following code inside Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS for issue in shop page:

    .archive #sidebar {
      display: none;
    }

    Okay thanks for that CSS, gets rid of one problem with the widgets all over bottom of the shop page. But Shop still shown as ‘archives products’ in title and the overall display of SHOP page is terrible in fitclub theme, no matter what page layout settings used, it just forces everything to full width edge to edge. So not attractive style at all.

    Also when the wooproducts widget used on theme homepage (front page sidebar) for displaying products, it just sends all content right off edge of page… I would send you screen shots but not sure how via this messaging?

    So is this display and WooC issue with my build or the theme compatibility with WooC? You say it is WooC compatible, but there is no WooC declaration according to Woo…?

    WooCommerce support: Not declared

    Appreciate if you can see a way forward with WooC use and Fitclub?

    Woo seems to suggest:
    ***********************
    Where you may run into issues when the default WooCommerce content wrappers do not match your chosen theme. This manifests itself by breaking your layout on WooCommerce pages and shifting your sidebars into incorrect positions.

    This can potentially affect the shop page, single product page and taxonomy pages (categories and tags) because WooCommerce uses templates of its own to display these pages, and it’s impossible for WooCommerce to know exactly what markup your theme uses. Other pages (checkout, cart, account) are unaffected because they use your theme’s page.php template.

    There are two ways to resolve this:

    Using hooks (for advanced users/developers)
    Using our catch-all woocommerce_content() function inside your theme
    ***********************

    Does not make a whole lot of sense to me, but I am sure it does to you guys. Do you use ‘hooks’ as required for WooC?

    To use their catch all, I cannot see an obvious ‘page.php’ file in the fitclub theme files, which suggests I have no way to adjust myself…? Is this something you can do?

    Maybe totally unnecessary., but just looking for solution to issues.
    Cheers

    Hi,

    Sorry to hassle, but was there any conclusion as to why Fitclub and Woocommerce not working together for shop and product display? Have looked for answers and WooC suggest maybe theme needs attention,to make it fully WooC compatible, but not sure myself. Your demo theme looks fine, so is there a fix you can suggest?

    thanks in advance

    Hy @paul28,

    Sorry, to say that our FitClub free theme is not fully compatible with WooCommerce and requires lot of code customization work to make it compatible. But our pro version is fully compatible with it, you can follow the link below:
    https://demo.themegrill.com/fitclub-pro/shop/

    So if you really want WooCommerce compatible for fitclub , please upgrade to pro version.

    As i suspected the fitclub theme not WooC compatible. Shame you don’t clearly declare that element of the free theme, as could have saved me the headache of trying to assess if it was worth using your theme. I had previously stated, the intention to get the pro version is there for our client, but I needed to be sure the theme functions and has relevant flexibilty for the site build. The point of using the free version and identifying any weaknesses or deficiencies.

    If you say the Pro version is fully WooC compliant, then that will be the outcome if client happy with the site build based on this theme. Thanks.

    Pro Upgrade – One last query before I get the pro version. Is the upgrade from free version seamless? what is the upgrade process?
    I currently have fitclub free version set up with a child theme configuration and would be helpful if switching to Pro version keeps the site I have built? Last thing I want is the site build disappearing on me…?

    Hello @paul28,

    Yes, it will be seamless when you upgrade from free version to pro. You just have to purchase the pro theme and activate it. And as you have been using child theme, the template name in “style.css” of child theme should be changed to make it work with pro theme.
