I’ve been a big fan of this theme using it for years, but lately something weird has happened to way my blog looks on Safari and Chrome on my Mac. I’ve been working on the blog for a couple of days using Opera and the blog looks fine, but checking out how fonts are looking on other browsers brought this issue to my attention.
Image of both browsers (Opera working fine, Safari looking like a directory) showing what I am seeing on my computer: http://simpletwig.com/SimpleTwig2014/images_sociallinks/2018_social/browser_prob_wordpress.png
I’m at a loss as to what to do.
I have 5 plugins still enabled, could it be one of these?
Google Webmaster Tools
Jetpack by WordPress
Simple Google Sitemap XML

Also in Appearance > Customize I can’t seem to save any changes. Pressing the ‘Save & Publish’ button after changing the Site Title results in the spinning timer turning back to the ‘Save & Publish’ button highlighted (not grayed out), and if I exit a dialogue box pops up that says ‘do you want to leave’ indicating the change was’t saved.
When I first got this theme and made a blog it was just so I have a blog. Now I want to make it the main website and go pro, but there’s no point in upgrading if it isn’t working, so your help will be appreciated with an upgrade.

After checking your site, I found that you’ve changed theme’s style.css file code.
Please revert back code to its default.
If you want to change theme’s CSS, please create a child theme.

Thanks for the instructions on how to make a child theme. < added.
If I made some changes to style.css I thought I had reverted them back to the original settings (font size) but maybe I missed one. Won’t these revert back when the theme is updated, especially if I upgrade to Pro? Is there a reset/default button?
Is that my issue, that the style.css was modified and that is giving Safari and Chrome problems?

Yes, updating the free theme or upgrading to Pro will work.
Have you done that?
Please let u know after you do that.

I ended up uploading another theme (Appearance > Themes) so I could activate it and deactivate Radiant, delete Radiant, and then upload Radiant again and activate it which appears to have resolved the format problem on other browsers, so YAY!
Now I am confident to point my domain name directly to the blog and use it as my front website page.
I haven’t activated the child theme and now I don’t see a reason too, the theme looks great as is. I like the footer and other features of the pro, but now have to focus on my image portfolio and link the blog to it, so for now I think all is good and thanks for the help ashishthanp.
I do have another issue. ‘Save & Publish’ button doesn’t save in customize if I make a change. The timer wheel spins after I click it but then it returns to ‘Save & Publish’ and if I leave the page it asks knowing that nothing was saved. Any thoughts?September 8, 2017 at 4:38 am #1323932
Usually, this kind of issue is caused by plugins you’re using.
So, you can try deactivating plugins one by one and check if your issue resolves.
If it still persists, please let us know again.

You’re correct. It is Jetpack by WordPress.com, version 5.3, that is the issue. Is this a known problem and is there a way to fix it?September 11, 2017 at 5:50 am #1324279
