Hi Guys – Brian here again to challenge you and keep making spacious great.

Last time you helped me create this amazing vertical nav menu on

This time I want to have the same menu, but this time be able to add colour to each individual tab like in this site

Is this possible. Is is something to do with class?

By the time I’m finished with you guys, you will have created the most flexible theme available!

    Cheers – Brian

    Hi @Brian,

Currently, we do not have this feature in Spacious theme. And it needs lots of code customization, we cannot help you out on this issue from this forum. If you really want this feature, you can contact our customization team.

I have figured out a way to do this and I will update here when I have finished and tested it. This will be another amazing enhancement for my favourite Spacious Theme!

RESOLVED: I have achieved this! Have a look at the sites temporary home at or after next week it will be at its permanent home at You will see a left vertical menu with each link a different colour!!! This is done with a plugin called Siteorigin CSS which is free and I think came with Spacious?

Anyway, once installed, Go Appearance – Custom CSS Then click on a little ‘eye’ symbol. Then your site will appear with styling options on the left. Click on lets say one of your nav menu items. On the left panel choose the background colour to be RED. Thats it, except in my case I changed lots of colours. I promised I would get back with the answer to help other people. It would be great if others did too as this is a great theme!!!! Cheers Brian
