    Hello guys and Happy New Year!

    Could you pease help me with a little problem I’m having?
    I’m trying to set a different backgournd image or different background color on a single page but with no success.
    The specific page is a posts page from a category using the content views plugin. I want the page to have a different background in comparison with the rest of the website, either that’s an image or color. Additionally, I would like all the single posts from the same category to have the same background like the one in the single page.

    I’ve been trying to do it myself with some css, but unfortunately I didn’t get it to work.

    If you could help me do it I’d be sooooo greatful!

    Thank you in advance

    Hi again Nima,

    You just happened to access the website when it was down for 4 minutes when the host’s server was rebooting!I’m so unlucky!

    If you could take a look again that would be great.

    Hi ledaki,

    Seems like you’ve tried some custom css to add background image. Can you make some adjustment on your custom css as follow.

    body.custom-background.home {
        background-image: url(https://chronographimata.gr/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/blackmamba_@2X.png);
        background-position: center center;
        background-size: auto;
        background-repeat: repeat;
        background-attachment: scroll;
    }

    Likewise, please add the following CSS to set background color on inner pages.

    body.custom-background.singular {
        background-color: #468499;
    }

    You can change color code as per your needs.

    Hope this is helpful to you. If there is anything else you need please let us know.

    Hello again,

    Thank you so much for you time. I really appreciate it.

    Is there a way to adjust this for a single page? Maybe I didn’t make my self very clear in my first post, so let me try again…

    I’d like to change the background color/image on this specific page and not the rest of the website. Specifically, to change the color of the body of the page (where the posts are) and not only around the edge.
    I tried to do it like the following but it didn’t work

    body.page-id-xxx { background-color: #468499; }

    Do you think this is something that can be done?

    Thank you in advance

    Regards,
    Ledaki

    Hi Nilan,

    Sure, no problem.

    In the fron page and all the pages I want to leave the background white as it is. (see screenshot 1)

    screenshot_1

    In this particular sub-page libro Rosso, I would like to change the backgound color of the body of the page (see the red marking in screenshot 2)

    screenshot_2

    The same color as the one set in the above sub-page should be in every individual post of that particular category. (see screenshot 3)

    screenshot_3

    ps:The drawing in the screenshots is terrible. I’m so sorry….

    Thank you for your time 🙂

    Hi ledaki,

    Can you please try the CSS code below.

    body.singular-page-85 .site-content {
        background: #def4f4;
    }

    body.singular-page-85 .site-content article {
        background: transparent;
    }

    Hope this is helpful to you. If there is anything else that we could assist you regarding our theme, please let us know.

    OMG, that’s amazing. Thank you so much!!!

    I also tried to use a differrent image (instead of a color) as a background and it worked too.
    Is it possible to apply this for every individual post in the same category as I show in the screenshot_3 above?

    I don’t want to abuse your kindness, so if you you think that’s too much of me to ask, we can leave at that.

    Thank you anyway, you’ve already helped me immensely.

    🙂

    Hi ledaki,

    Please have the right click on the page of your website where select the inspect option.
    Now look for the section “<body class” which will be at the top here, you will find the page class for eg: singular-page-85 as mentioned above.
    Similarly you can inspect the other pages and add those page id for each different css and change their color accordingly.
