    I know that for a magazine it might be desirable to have the most recent post really big, but in my case I’d rather have them all the same size. It would be even more cool to adjust how that common post layout is (how many posts in each row, whether the feature image is on top or the left, etc.), but that’s probably asking too much – for now, I’d just like to make the first post act like the rest. Is there a way to control that in settings somewhere?

    I tried doing this in CSS, to make odd posts on left, even on right, and the first one like a normal odd post:

    .blog .post:nth-child(2n) {
    	float: right;
    }
    .blog .post:nth-child(2n-1) {
    	float: left;
    }
    .blog .post:first-child {
    	float: left;
    	width: 48.7013%;
    }

    But there is a clearfix div at the end of the first post that gets in the way of that method. I keep thinking there must be some settings for the recent posts/archive page, but I sure can’t find them. Any tips?

    Hi @osakawebbie

    It will require lots of code customization work, which could not get covered up via any support platform. Hope you can understand.

    Thanks.

    Thanks for clarifying. I’m using a child theme and do know PHP, but it’s not worth the effort of digging into the code. I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing some easy configuration setting.
