Any way to remove sidebar from some pages? (Most important question)
Any way to include different widgets in sidebar for different pages? (Would be nice)
There are several templates in the theme that I suspect may have to do with this:
I have created a child theme and could modify a template for certain pages if I could see a method for differentiating between pages when they are loaded.

For the first query, it will require lots of code customization work which cannot get covered up via any support platform. Hope you can understand.
For the second query, can you try using the plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/widget-options/ to show different widget in different pages?

Will this plugin let me remove the whole sidebar from some pages? I have already removed all the widgets and the sidebar remains with several, apparently non-removable widgets, namely, a list of archives and a meta section with an admin login.
will the plugin you mention let me remove the sidebar from some pages and customize it in others?

It will help you to display different widgets per pages adding in your site. However, it will not help you to remove the sidebar area. Hope you have got it.

Thanks. What I finally discovered is that I can activate Elemento in WordPress and remove the sidebar with it.
