You can use SEO plugins like All in one SEO, SEO by Yoast, or others from WordPress repository

    Thanks.

Thanks I have Yoast but it asks me to add the meta data and I can’t do that which is why I am asking for help. I don’t want to crash the site with a badly placed line of code.

Where would I fing the head and body meta data ?

    Thank you

It’s header.php file inside the theme folder. But let me remind you that changes you made in theme’s file will be removed on updating theme and is not good practice. You can create a child theme or use plugin for adding meta data. I hope that’s not be problem for you. If you get any issue later, feel free to ask again! We would really appreciate if you could provide us a review here: https://wordpress.org/support/theme/spacious/reviews/?filter=5
    Thanks.
