I have to add an external JS script side-wide in order to tracking everything with Google Analytics and Webtrekk. I get the script code soon.
My question: Which location is the best to put the JS tracking code? Header or Footer?
Shall I use a plugin in (which one?) or shall I put the code just in the editor section: footer.php?
Thanks for the help in advance

You can use the plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/google-analytics-for-wordpress/ available via the WordPress plugin directory to add the Google Analytics code in your site. And for the other, you can use this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/insert-headers-and-footers/ also available via the WordPress plugin directory and do the same as stated by the analytics site and check. Do you know where I can change the 404 page?May 11, 2017 at 11:20 am #1307025
You need to edit the 404.php file.
I recommend you to use a child theme for this purpose.

Where do I find the child theme?May 11, 2017 at 2:47 pm #1307056
You can find the tutorial on the child theme via this link: https://themegrill.com/blog/tutorial-creating-wordpress-child-theme/.
We will really appreciate if you could help us too by rating our theme in WordPress repo here:-

1. Do you know with which account I can login to wordpress in order to make a recommendation.
2. Today we changed our server from testserver to real server.
The real server is https. My IT team told me that it is not compatible with https, they just check some stuff, since we cannot login.
Do you know if there can be issues?May 13, 2017 at 4:34 am #1307291
Our theme is completely compatible with the https protocol. Can you be sure on this? Well, for changing from http to https may require some extra work if you are not able to login for logging in, and require lots of effort which could not get covered via this forum, and after you are successful on logging in, you can use this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/really-simple-ssl/ available via the WordPress plugin directory to make your site to be totally in https protocol. Everything works fine 🙂
1. How can I login to wordpress (which account) to rate your support?
2. Is there an option to enable and disable globally the comment function?May 18, 2017 at 12:53 am #1307953
For rating the theme, first of all, you may need to register to WordPress via this link: https://login.wordpress.org/register and then you can provide the rating.
For the commenting issue, you can try this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/disable-comments/ available via the WordPress plugin directory and check?

Actually I did download the plugin and installed it, it worked. But now I deinstalled it and the comments are not shown (We want to activate them again). This is a bit strangeMay 18, 2017 at 5:35 am #1307990
Can you follow this link: https://www.wpbeginner.com/glossary/comment/ and see if it works out for you? Thanks.
