Step 2: Run Setup Wizard

The first page on the setup wizard is the Welcome page that welcomes you with a short thank you message. Just below the message, you’ll also notice two buttons – Start Now and Skip to Dashboard

As the name implies, you can either start the setup instantly or skip to your WordPress dashboard. While clicking on the Start Now button will begin the setup, hitting Skip to Dashboard will redirect you to the dashboard.  

Wondering how you can set up Masteriyo LMS if you select the latter option. Well, you can do that simply by navigating to Masteriyo>>Settings

II. Course Setup

Now, if you choose to run the wizard by clicking the Start Now button, you’ll be navigated to the Course tab.

From here, you can configure the total number of courses that you want to display per row and page of your courses page. 

You can show up to four courses per row. Similarly, a total of twenty-four courses can be displayed per page. Hence, you can easily adjust the number of courses as per your requirement.

Once you finish with the course setting, click on the Next button to continue the setup process.

III. Quiz Setup

Next is the setup for the quiz questions. You can configure the total number of quiz questions from the Quiz tab that you would like to display per page. You can set the required number by adjusting the numbered scale ranging from 1 to 100, and you’re done.

Then, press the Next button to go to the next setup page. If you need to make any changes to the previous page, you can also click on the Back button. 

IV. Pages Setup

You can create the necessary pages for your LMS site from the Pages tab like the Course List, Learning, Account, and Checkout page.

  • A Course List page allows you to show all the available courses.
  • The Learning page enables you to run distraction-free pages for any course.
  • An Account page allows you to show both instructor and student’s accounts.
  • A Checkout page lets you display a checkout page when the learners want to make a course purchase.

However, if you’ve already created similar pages for your educational site, then you can always choose those pages from the dropdown options. After that, you can hit the Next button for the other setup process.

V. Payment Setup

As you can guess from the name, the next setup is for the payment. You can easily choose the suitable Currency and Currency position from the dropdown menus of the Payment tab.

VI. Finish Setup

After the payment configuration, hit the Finish button. This completes your basic setup process.

Now, you can either go back to your dashboard or start creating your course instantly. Just hit the Back to Dashboard button to go to the dashboard or click on the Create a new course to begin a course creation.

Step 3: Add New Courses and Lessons

Since you’ve finished the setup of the Masteriyo LMS plugin, you’re now all good to kick-start your LMS website by adding new courses and lessons. So, press the Create a new course button and it’ll take you to the course builder page. 

Alternatively, if you’ve skipped to the dashboard, you can go to Masteriyo>>Courses and click on the Add New Course button to start adding courses.

Masteriyo has this amazing single-page interface that allows you to add courses, lessons, and quizzes from one place. Everything required to complete your individual course content is on the same page. So, you don’t have to switch between different pages anymore.

You can start your course creation journey by adding a Course Name and compelling Course Description. Similarly, it also enables you to add Course Highlights, Categories, and a Featured Image. Once you finish with that, click on the Next button at the top.
